Pakistan Earthquake : Day 10 (I lost my ticket)

This is the document..legal one..saying I lost my flight ticket. I needed this paper before I can go and report the police that I really lost my ticket. The police won't listen to you of you don't have this paper!!!!!

I went to hospital today..to get an injection. It's vaccine for influenza, in case I have to cover the bird flu story...at least I will not get a flu!! Not too easily!!!

Pakistan Earthquake : Day 9 (Still at Chaklala)

It's raining so hard on Day 8...so I had no pictures...and those pants tell you that I didn't lie about the heavy rain the day before...

Healing massage...

I went to a place for massage today..they give you healing massage ..not only for relaxing.. but healing!
And it's really hurt!!!! I almost screamed...but after that..it felts so good!! Yeah!! relaxing at the end...how cool it is!
150 baht/hour..and I took 2 hours...oh...one word...OH....hh..

Really liked the trucks in Pakistan!!!

Saku and his 8 lives left...

When I was away in Pakistan, there was something bad happened to my cat, Saku. He got bitten by a snake...on his cheek.
My mom told me when I got back home..she told me he came back home one evening with swollen face..eyes closed. and a wound on his cheek.
She thought she will call the vet tomorrow morning...
The next morning...Saku was quite well...and came meow meow since the early morning..begging for food... he ate a lot...and in the evening...he started playing around like nothing happened...
I guess he has 8 lives left now...

Turkish movie and public tranportation!!!

I went to a movie today...it's the 3rd world film festival in Bangkok...and I chose the Turkish one, Angel's Fall...
I came out with questions in my head and on my lips.. "What the fuck!!"
If you have a chance to see... Go see it and we will have some discussion on that movie, ok?
After that I took the skytrain back home...at the terminal station that I always take taxi home..there was no taxi..too many people waiting for the taxi... so I decided to take the bus..and...nowadays the price is 6 baht!!!
I first came to Bangkok when the bus cost me 3.5 baht... now it's 6 baht... it's for the normal, no air-con bus... WOW...
mmmm...That's all I've done today...

Pakistan Earthquake : Day 3 (Serena Hotel)

Icy raining....I didn't know that the weather in Islamabad can be so cold!!! It rained in ice!!! Brrrr....

Sorry..my hands were shaking... because it's really cold that day ..even inside!!! (Because of the air con...of course!!!)

My hotel room, #135 in Serena Hotel Islamabad..People said it's the best hotel in Islamabad. It costs us US$180++ per night... I stayed in this room for 12 nights!!!

My bed...that always shaking during the aftershocks!!! And that woke me up!!!

For those who think what the hell did I do all day in the hotel? I actually did some work too!!! This is the Japan Vice Foreign Minister...doorstep interview on his arrival..

I left the hotel early morning...to go to the airport, Chaklala, the Pakistan Air Force base.

I don't know where they're from...so many rescue teams from many countries coming to pakistan to help. Many thanks to them...

Pakistan Earthquake : Day 1 (Margalla Towers)

This is the Margalla towers...Only one building in Islamabad that collapsed because of the earthquake on 8th october.

There were people under the debris...

People watching the scene with hope and curiousity... The rescue team saved 2 lives on the 9th October...when I was there. The crowd were cheering and clapping their hands happily. It was a good scene...

Mmmm... I was thinking of someone.. missing him so much...or maybe I was just too sleepy.. hehe

Going back to Bangkok alone as theothers will stay one more night in Dubai... Jane was ready for shopping in Dubai!!

Smoking Sheesha...

I went out today with my colleagues to an Arabic Sheesha cafe called Deewaniya in Holiday Inn hotel...
They have 4 types of sheesha here : cappuccino, cherry, lemon and rose. What did I choose? I smoked Lemon sheesha today... ahh...
so...gooood...mmm... finally we can have time to relax... mmm...still...mmm...even now I'm back to hotel... I don't smoke cigarette but people said 1 sheesha = 20 cigarettes. Is that true? I don't know...but I"m feeling so good and ready to go to bed and having good dream..

I'm going home!!

Trying to book the flight back on Wednesday!! Hooray!!! I'm going back home..going back home.. :-)

I could feel the aftershocks!!

Ha! I was not sure when I felt the shaking when I was in bed last night... but I got up..chekcing the window..if I can open it and jump off the building if it'd be the stronger shake. So I don't have to be trapped inside the building that can collapse. :-D
But it's just a mild aftershock... I'm still ok now but I will be more careful... I stay in the first floor in the hotel so it'd be ok if I jump off the window in case of the quake. Breaking one leg or two would be better than being buried alive, huh?
That's the update for today..

Update from Islamabad!

I'm still alive!! And be well...just exhausted.. been working non stop sincee arriving on Sunday morning, but I think those rescue teams are working much harder than me..
I don't have time to take pictures...and here, there are so many things that I want to show you guy..many amazing things to see.
I will try my best to take photos and to show you Pakistan from my view.
